Sneak Peek of a Modern Chic Olowalu Wedding
We wanted to share a little sneak peek of Lisa & Hunters wedding which took place at the Olowalu Plantation House this weekend. The wedding was spectacular, with details everywhere you looked, and a crowd of jet-setting guests from all over the world. Lisa & Hunter were amazing to work with, such an incredibly sweet and gorgeous couple. We pulled out all the stops for this one; Bella Bloom crafting the “yummy” center pieces, and Tamiz Photography capturing all the forever moments. The entire Belle Team was there to make it come all together (yes, that’s us posing for the camera!). Keep checking back for more details to come.
XO,
Belle
Olowalu Plantation House Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty!
The founder and editor, Abby Larsen of Style Me Pretty said that she wants to “Marry this wedding!” ~ we take that as a huge compliment and of course find ourselves overjoyed to see the feature on the front home page of the well loved blog Style Me Pretty today.
I first met Kristine & Hisashi on a very exciting skype session in January 2011. Kristine, and American, met Hisashi while working in Tokyo. It was clear from the very beginning, that these two shared an intense love and enthusiasm for each other. Hisashi exhibited an extraordinary eagerness to marry the woman beside him, and the plan was to bring their families together in one place for the celebration. The couple chose Maui as the spot to seal the deal, and the planning began. The wedding planning went on hold for a bit after the March 11th, tsunami. Even riddled by frequent aftershocks, the two remained dedicated to the idea of marrying in Maui, not letting the events that had just unfolded affect their dedication to each other. Kristine’s style inspiration for the wedding was all about bright pastels, playful designs, and the idea of a wedding being a celebration of their union. The inspiration to use ribbons surfaced, and we ran with it. We personally crafted multi-colored ribbon table runners (much harder than they sound), curtains of ribbon for displayed photos of the couple, ribbon wrapped place card boards, the list goes on. It became such a crafty, love-filled event, we had the best time putting it all together! Gina Meola and her husband Marcus of Gina Meola Photography flew in from Arizona in to capture the event.

Belle Destination Wedding & Events featured on Love and Lavender!
Love and Lavender featured our fairy tale wedding…. Carol and Nan are one of the sweetest, most endearing couples I have ever met. Both very gentle, soft spoken and absolutely giddy with excitement for their big day on beautiful Maui. Their story is quite charming! Carol and Nan are originally from China, had independently moved to the United States three years ago for college, and to learn how to speak English- were they serendipitously crossed paths. All of their friends and family members traveled the long distance from China to be a part of their special day.
In the beginning of the planning process, when Carol shared with me her vision of their wedding, she said she wanted it to be “sweet like candy” and it sure was! The wedding decor was inspired by a vintage Alice and Wonderland tea-party, which made it really fun and playful. Stacked vintage books and flower filled tea-pots made up the centerpiece decor along with tiered teacups and saucers. The wedding stationary, made up of playing cards was very reminiscent of the Queen of Hearts. “Drink Me” tags adorned cocktail straws and “Eat Me” tags attached to mini candy favors brought everyone back to the well loved story and adventures of Alice in Wonderland. Carol and Nan’s dream fairy tale wedding came true and they are surely on their way to live happily ever after.

Belle Destination Wedding & Events featured on Style Me Pretty Maui Week!
If you were perusing through the beautiful wedding blog of Style Me Prettyyesterday, you might have noticed it’s Maui Week! It’s always an honor to be showcased as one of SMP feature destination weddings. Photographer Joanna Tano captures the romance and essence of the word LOVE with our bride, Mandy and groom, Peter. With the breath taking backdrop of the Haiku Mill, Mandy looked stunning in her Liancarlo wedding dress and blue Badgley Mischka shoes. Details were important to this couple, from soft crystals hanging from the tent, to the delicate spray roses placed individually in each glass. As wedding planners and stylist, we love the attention to detail this wedding brings to life. Hope you enjoy the photo’s.
